New Jersey Basement Fire Subdued by DSPA-5

A residence in Demarest, New Jersey was suddenly threatened by a basement fire. Arriving on the scene, Assistant Chief Eric Marello of the Demarest Fire Department decided to use the department’s new DSPA-5 fire suppression device: “After the DSPA-5 was deployed, the main body of the fire appeared to be knocked down, leaving only small pockets of fire to be extinguished.”

Thanks to DSPA-5, flames were contained, property damage was limited and the overall structure saved from total loss.
