DSPA offers fixed suppression systems for applications such as switchgears, generator & engine rooms, electrical cabinets and many other objects or rooms that contain critical processes or represent great value for your company.

A DSPA fire extinguishing system typically consists of one or more DSPA aerosol generators and a highly sophisticated fire detection system, assuring the customer to be notified in the early developing phase of the fire, thus giving the customer the chance to prevent many unnecessary damages. If a fire does develop, the DSPA generators will activate and quickly extinguish the fire. DSPA aerosol generators are highly effective, non-pressurized and environmental friendly.

DSPA fire suppression systems are especially well suited to protect engine rooms in ships. The safe unpressurized units are very easy to install inside the compartment, and require no high-maintenance piping or nozzles. Also the units can be ceiling mount, saving a ton of space and making cilynder storages redundant.

A DSPA extinguishing system is also uniquely safe: It is not pressurized and does not affect oxygen levels. It is officially tested as non-toxic, making a DSPA system perfect for many maritime applications.

Manual units

Besides the fixed suppression systems, we also offer the manually operated DSPA 5-Series, which has been a well trusted intervention solution for years by many skippers.

The DSPA 5M generator is the unit recommended for firefighting in marine applications and other situations where moisture and salt have their impact. It can be used in every fire stage, but its value is best displayed during fully developed fires.

The DSPA 5M consists of a circular metal pod with a handle. This portable fire extinguisher is activated by pulling a pin and can be thrown into any room where the fire had started.

Eight seconds after the pull of the pin, the DSPA 5M starts releasing an expanding aerosol cloud that fills the space and quickly knocks the fire down.  

Once activated, the DSPA 5M function on its own, allowing board members to engage in potentially critical activities like putting on survival suits or calling for help.

Furthermore, by mean of our special bracket, these portable extinguishers can be hanged on the bridge's wall, making sure that they are always accessible and easy to grab.
